Melton Mowbray Choral Society

James Gutteridge has been Organist and Choirmaster at St Mary's Parish Church in Melton Mowbray for nine years now, and it is a post once held by Sir Malcolm Sargent from 1914 to 1924. In 2013, James reformed the Melton Mowbray Choral Society and this has been very successful. James also works with Melton Mowbray Amateur Operatics Society (started by Sargent in 1919) as a Musical Director. He is also a teacher of piano, organ, singing, and theory.
